Commitment to Accessibility

Accessibility is at the heart of how I work. I strive to create coaching services that are responsive to the realities of fluctuating capacity, disability, and diverse ways of thinking. I am committed to continually improving the accessibility of my website, client resources, communication systems, and coaching experience so that more people can access support in ways that work for them.

Some Known Issues

I am in the process of auditing and remediating accessibility issues on my website to conform to  Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA, and WCAG 2.2 AAA when possible. Currently, I am updating:

  • Instances where color contrast fails.

  • URLs to include more than color to identify them.

  • The navigation to include a skip link to allow screen readers to move to the main content.

  • Header and paragraph styles to ensure they are readable and avoid all caps.

I have already updated the heading hierarchy, increased negative space around sections and content, and changed paragraphs to left alignment.

Testing

I am working with a consultant to audit accessibility on my website. The consultant is using manual and third-party tools to identify accessibility issues.
